New Investigator!

Hey everyone!

I don't have much time to email today, so I'm going to give the super condensed version of my week.

We had retrainers meeting in Calgary this week, which was great! We also took that opportunity to go shopping for winter clothes so we hopefully don't freeze this winter. (pictures to come next week)

We also picked up a new investigator! Her name is Cassie and she was a member referral. We had our first lesson with her, and she accepted our invitation to read from the Book of Mormon and to pray to see if it was true! We have another lesson with her in a couple weeks. We're excited to see how she progresses!

There's a lot more potential in this area. We have a couple people we want to begin teaching, and a whole list of less active members that we want to start working with. The work is really moving forward!

Spiritual thought! So this week in church we learned about scripture study. We related it to the Children of Israel and how they received manna from heaven for food each day. The Lord made it so that they had to go out each day and collect the manna to get the nourishment they needed. Scripture study is the same way. We must feast on the scriptures daily to receive our spiritual food. I encourage all of you to get into the habit of daily scripture study. I know that as we do this, we will be able to receive the spiritual nourishment each day, and we will grow closer to our Heavenly Father.
